Multiple contacts at Freedom Mortgage with one not knowing what the other was doing. I had to obtain a letter of explanation from my employer for an error made at Freedom they could have corrected their own error. They had enough documents to be able to correct their own mistake. Delayed closings due to incorrect documents. Prior to closing, I received multiple and differing figures as to how much cash I needed to bring to the closing. ...

I'm in the middle of my re-finance with Freedom Mortgage. Unfortunately I'm stuck with these guys until we get through the process. It's been very frustrating working with them. Every day another request for paperwork. I find them very inept and very rude. They are my current lender and my first mortgage went through quickly with no problems. Two years later my income is up, my credit score is up and I have a proven payment track record. ...

Freedom mortgage called me up out of the blue and convinced me that I needed to refinance. After a nightmarish four months of giving them information, dealing with phone calls every day, signing papers and their B.S. they randomly closed my file and didn't even have the decency to let me know. Yes, a month goes by and I hear nothing from freedom mortgage. I email the guy today and they have closed my file and my refinance after they convinced me...

Anonymous I too have a bad experience with the Streamline refinance with Freedom Mortgage. My previous experience with my dealings with Freedom Mortgage were good. This was terrible.

They called and told me that they would lower my mortgage in June. It is now the middle of September and still know word from them. You can not pay your bill through your bank online. This mortgage company is a joke. They bought my loan and it took them 6 months before someone there picked up the phone and called me. I had to pay late fees. You think a company would pick up the phone and introduce themselves to their new client. They didn't even...

I don't normally post personal things, but this is a complaint against Freedom Mortgage and a plea to anyone who reads this to AVOID doing business with them at all costs. They contacted me to get me to refinance my home at a lower interest rate in May-I was told that the closing would be towards the end of June and to skip my July mortgage payment to my current lender-it is a good thing that I ignored that advice, because as of yet there still...

The already hold my mortgage (they bought it from another company) so I said, "sure, why not? This should be simple since they already have all my info and I'm already in good standing with them". Boy was I wrong. 3 months into this thing and I finally pulled the plug on the entire process. Their underwriters are ridiculous in what they ask you to submit. Countless letters and statements and redundant paperwork all to just turn around and ask...

Anonymous I started the process in March 2016. It is now August 2016 and still no closing. Going to refinance elsewhere and get as far away from Freedom mortgage as possible.

After 2 full months of dealing with them to refinance our home, we were told we were closing but did not and this in turn caused us to become late with mortgage company. They will lie to you!! Stay away from this company!!! We worked hard to get all the necessary paperwork to them and we were always on time but they continued to take their slow time and caused us to become behind. Then they say that because we are behind the loan is denied...

The worst mortgage experience of my life, and I've had five other mortgages. They raised my monthly payment by 150.00 after the first yearyear, but failed to notify me. I found out after they reported me two months late on my credit report. Although bank clearly shows payments cashed on the 1st or 2nd of every month, they do not post until the 11th and charge late fee. Customer service has a different story every time, and a different amount...
