Went through the whole process. Had my refinance even approved through the underwritng and was going to close. For days before the close they denied my refinance due to my home being a manufactured home. They knew this from the start. This company should be shut down. They tell you what you want to hear, and even show you the paperwork. This i a very shady company. I implore anyone to not to use Freedom Mortgage. They are a wrong choice ..

I was told I could apply for a refinance.I was behind in my payments. They made me jump through hoops getting the paperwork to them -they asked for documents one at a time. There was always something else they needed. Then they told me I did not qualify because I made up my back payments. It appears to me they were trying to keep me dangling so that I would be 3 payments behind so that they could foreclose on me. I literally HATE this company....

Additionally, when my husband agreed for them to send us the paperwork so that we could review it, in it was a credit report authorization form, which we never signed and returned. When we began looking at the process with someone else, we discovered that they'd already pulled our credit report without our authorization. We are only with them because they bought our loan from another lender. We don't like shady dealings and will be refinancing...

I like similar veterans had the issue of them losing my payments. In my instance I was required to make an additional payment after my refinance. Not sure if it was lost in the paperwork but I have my payment statements saying the amount due. In a separate instance I took them up on the offer to refinance, and they charged me three times for a payoff statement. Mind you I only needed one and it took me numerous emails and calls just to get this...

I recently fell on hard times and needed to refinance on my home. I called and spoke with John Kenny on several occasions and expressed that if a cash back option was not an option or did not offer over a certain amount I was not interested. He assured me that I was going to get a specific amount and all I had to do was make sure I did not open any new credit accounts. Of course I didn't after I heard the amount I could get back out of my home....

Assured that they would account for payments made to old loan while paperwork for new load was being done. Well, they didn't account for those payments. New loan principal is $2800 higher than the old loan paid off principal. How did the amount I owed on the loan magically get higher? First I called Customer Service and was on phone for over an hour. They could not explain how the amount could be higher and refused to do anything about it. When...

I was trying to refinance 4 loans on small residential rental properties. I started before Christmas 2015. The loans met preliminary approval in April 2016, already excessive. Then every week they would ask for another set of documents, week after week. One loan finally closed in late July. When the next loan was ready to close, some senior manager decided to impose additional requirements not related to FNMA rules. He wouldn't close the...

The company embraces unfair trade practices by telling their customers one thing then later not standing by what they say.We were told an amount of money was to be refunded to us, then later they claim it was part of the payoff they made. Several occasions their staff stated they were sending the refund and jever did We filed a complaint with the state regulatory agency as well. Additionally we will file with the federal regulatory agency too.

Horrible company. I can't wait to move my loan to another company. We have only been with them for 3 months after our refinance. Their information is inaccurate and we have to jump through the hoops just to make a payment. Their website is always down. I regret switching company's.

Please be careful with refinancing with this company. They offered a .25 percent reduction in rate with no closing costs. My payoff was about 2k more than what I owed, and they were allowing me to skip two months. The total out-of-pocket would be about 3k. You have to really read the numbers with these guys. When I canceled the refinance I didn't even a get a call back. They had no way of explaining how they came up with their numbers. They must...

Anonymous Payoffs are always $1500-2000 higher than your principal balance-that is not unusual. The fact that they couldn't explain it is/was.
