This is happening to me, freedom mortgage is basing the escrow shortage on county tax increase however I have my tax statements there is no increase in my taxes. I've hired an attorney I'd rather pay an attorney than to give freedom mortgage a dime more than I'm currently paying without proof from them document the necessity for the increase.

My interest rate was 5.27 my mortgage payment if I allow Freedom mortgage to make me pay the increase my mortgage payment at an interest rate of 3.25 will be higher than when my mortgage rate was 5.27. Who New

EVERY YEAR ESCROW SHORTAGE and its some excuse. I redo the math and it should be positive 100+ 200+ but they consstrue the numbers to make you have to pay.

A raise of almost 300$ on the Monthly payment 2,000$ shortage??? ..

Yeah, same here. They told me it's a cushion in case insurance and/or taxes go up.

That's a very expensive cushion.

I was over an hour on the phone with them and they didn't give me a reason why. It's money they put in their pockets.

Oh great reading all these reviews is not very reassuring. Freedom mortgage just bought my loan this year and now they are raising my loan 150.00 dollars a month saying my escrow is short.

I'm currently trying to fight them on this. I'm starting to regret buying a house at all.

This is the 4th time my loan has been sold. And reading all these comments it seems as if I'm not going to get a resolution.

Yes the exact thing happened to me, my escrow shortage was $359 they charged me $884 escrow shortage.. Include me for needing help if any one finds a solution...now freedom mtg today is saying all systems down cannot help

My mom is going through this now with a company called Cenlar. Im not sure if they are connected to Freedom or not.

But her payment is increasing by 275 but there was only a shortage of 267 for the year according to a recent statement. Who can we contact to get some help with this?

They have raised mine as well. They need to show proof of how the races have changed this much.

Lawsuit?????? We all should join together.

I have had nothing but constant problems with this company.

My loan was sold to them. I wish this never happened.

I can’t even believe this. This is currently happening to us too. They say a $3,000 deficit and cannot show us from where!!

Ours they claim a 14k deficit. Just Imagine what our new mortgage is. Almost doubled!

They have underestimated my escrow by $2,000 two years in a row now. My payment is now $500 a month more than it originally was because of it.

Customer service was no help. Just said they didn't know based on when they did their analysis.

I can see the first year, but the second? I have never missed a payment, and it seems like a scam to get me to default!!!

I am feeling the same way. I am on year 2 for the shortage, and to make things worse i was paying the amount they advised me to pay to not have this happen, and bingo...it happened again yesterday Another escrow shortage!!

Same exact response we got. “Wow I don’t know.

I’ve never seen a spike like this before.” Our mortgage is nearly doubled!

You’d think we live in a mansion based off our new mortgage. It’s sickening.

Having same problem here. Paid them over $1400 in 2016 to satisfy 2017 shortage.

Now they want over $1800 for 2017 to satisfy 2018. When I call you only get them going over what they sent you in the mail which is all wrong. They list your current payment with the shortage you already paid from the prior year which to me, makes it appear someone is pocketing the money.

I am sure there is some kind of scam going on but I don't know who to contact obviously it cant be anyone at Freedom Mortgage. .

Same thing here, just got a notice of an increase of $475 per month. With only 1 month notice my original loan got bought out by this ridiculous company.

Wow my family is just dealing with this for the past 2 months. They said we had a shortage of $1400 and that it was due to taxes, BS I have the county taxes right in my hand.

My husband calls every few days and is put through the whole story. We have the escrow analysis and it shows a large chunk of $ just disappearing for no reason and no one can explain it. I never wanted to go with Freedom Mortgage but our current loan was bought out. Nothing but trouble since.

They even took double payments out of our account, causing insufficient funds.

anyone have any luck? Sounds like a lawsuit.
